The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has extended the deadline for filing Income Tax Returns (ITR) for the financial year 2022-23 by businesses till November 7.
New Delhi: The deadline for businesses to file Income Tax Returns for the financial year 2022-23 ends on October 31. But, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has extended the deadline till November 7.
In a circular, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) said the deadline for filing IT returns for the accounting year 2022-23 under sub-section (1) of Section 139 of the Income Tax Act ends on May 31. "But the deadline has been extended till November 7.
Moreover, domestic companies will have to file Income Tax Returns for the financial year 2021-2022 by October 31. Companies that are subject to the exchange price norms are required to file by November 30," stated the CBDT circular on filing Income Tax returns, on their website www.incometaxindia.gov.in
