An investigation is now being conducted whether Jamesha Mubin signed the attendance register in a Kerala jail as to whether Jamesha Mubin who died in a car cylinder blast in Coimbatore met Mohammed Azharuddin.
Coimbatore: Reports are rife that Jamesha Mubin who was killed in a cylinder explosion in a car in front of the Kottai Easwaran temple in Ukkadam area of Coimbatore on Sunday met Mohammed Azharuddin in a Kerala jail.
Mohammed Azharuddin is one of the three persons arrested in connection with the 2019 Sri Lankan church blasts who is presently lodged in a Kerala jail. Jamesha Mubin's death in the car explosion is currently being investigated. Police are also investigating whether Jamesha Mubin had signed the attendance register in the Kerala jail as a visitor for Mohammad Azharuddin.
Six special teams have been formed to investigate the case. At present, three additional special squads have been formed and a total of nine special forces are investigating the case from various angles. So far, 22 persons have been interrogated by the Special Cell police. Those arrested in the case have been identified as Mohammed Talga (25) from Ukkadam, Mohammad Azharuddin (23) from Ukkadam, Mohammad Riyaz (27) from G M Nagar, Firoz Ismail (27) from G M Nagar and Mohammad Nawaz Ismail (26) from G M Nagar.
Mohammad Azharuddin who was arrested in 2019 is also likely to be questioned by the Special Cell police, according to reports.
The police are also collecting information on who helped Jamesha Mubin to get a car.
