Two months ago, Khaja Hussain, a gold jewellery manufacturer had distributed 3.306 kg of gold jewellery worth Rs. 1.20 crore to Vijayakumar, a jewellery shop owner. Vijayakumar and his wife reportedly have not paid for nor returned the gold jewellery. Hence, Khaja Hussain lodged a complaint with the Variety Hall police station in this regard.
Coimbatore: Khaja Hussain, a native of Selvapuram in Coimbatore district runs a gold jewellery manufacturing workshop in Sukrawarpet area and is in the business of making and distributing ornaments to jewellery shops.
R G Vijayakumar, a resident of Veedhi and his wife Vijayakumari run a jewellery shop and have been in business with Khaja Hussain for gold orders. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case against Vijayakumar and his wife under sections 406 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code. Thereafter, the police arrested Vijayakumar and sent him to jail.
