Vadavalli police arrested three persons for selling ganja in small packets targeting workers from the north Indian states staying in Coimbatore. Three and a half kilos of ganja was seized from them.
Coimbatore: A special team has been formed in Coimbatore district to check the sale of ganja and surveillance has been intensified.
In this situation, the police conducted a vehicle checking in Vadavalli area today. At that time, the police stopped three migrant workers who came on a two-wheeler and searched them.
It was then revealed that they had ganja with them in packets. The police seized the ganja and took them to the police station for questioning.
The arrested persons have been identified as Santosh KumarDas (56) and Bikas Naik (29) from Odisha and Ribul Ali (25) from Assam.

Further, preliminary investigations revealed that they were selling ganja in small packets targeting workers from north Indian states working on the outskirts of Coimbatore.
Following this, the police arrested the three and seized 3.5 kg of ganja from their possession. Later, they were produced in court and sent to jail.
