Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Pensioners' Association staged a protest demanding that the Centre's amendment to the 2022 Bill be halted.

The male members of the Association took off their shirts and protested in the city's Powerhouse area demanding the scrapping of the new pension scheme and implementation of the old pension scheme, as well as the regularisation of contractual employees.

The members of the TNEB Pensioners' Association demanded a 10 percent hike for pensioners and demanded that the Government should immediately accept their demands and take appropriate action.
