In this scenario, reports of an employee working at the Aliyar Dam operating the sluices with a boy on the night of October 7 has surfaced and raised several questions. There are further reports circulating on social media that after water was released from the sluice gatesof the dam, the sluices could not be closed again for some time due to some technical fault in the shutter.
Hence, the sluice gates of the Aliya Dam were closed only after the fault was rectified. The photo of the same is being circulated on social media including WhatsApp.
Calling it as callousness by the employee, the public have sought departmental inquiry imto the issue.
