Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Saturday inaugurated the 'Naga Mandapam' in the presence of Sadhguru at the Isha Yoga Centre on the outskirts of Chikkaballapura, 60 km from Bengaluru city, and inaugurated the spiritual work of isha foundation.

Chief Minister Bommai and Health Minister K Sudhakar performed aarti and dedicated flowers as part of the inaugural ceremony. The newly constructed Naga Mandapam will be opened for public viewing from October 10.
Referring to the activities of Isha Foundation, CM Bommai said, "Sadhguru's recent awareness campaign to protect the soil has received great support from all over the world. The state government is committed to protecting the quality of the soil for the benefit of farmers in Karnataka. Sadhguru is in the hearts of our farmers."

Stressing on the need to build spiritual infrastructure, Sadhguru said, "A 112-feet Adiyogi Shiva statue, eight Navagraha temples and a unique Bhairavi temple will be set up at the centre near Chikkaballapur." He also called upon the people to engage with this center. Referring to the Naga Mandapam, he said, "The grace of the serpent is considered important in removing the barriers that are not seen in one's life, so all cultures around the world have snake worship."
