The police have arrested a 55-year-old female brothel agent involved in sex trafficking at home in PKS Colony area in Pollachi and rescued two young women who were used as sex workers there. The two women were then handed over to a shelter home.
Coimbatore: The police have arrested a 55-year old female brothel agent who was involved in sex trafficking at her house in PKS Colony in Pollachi and rescued two young women who were used as sex workers there.
The East Police had received a tip-off that sex trafficking was being carried out at a house in PKS Colony in Pollachi, in Coimbatore district. Based on this, the police conducted a search operation in the area. A 55-year-old woman was found to be serving as a brothel agent using two women in the house for sex trafficking.
Following this, the police arrested the 55-year-old woman and registered a case against her, and lodged her in jail. The police also rescued the two young girls who were being used for sex trafficking and sent them to a shelter home after advising them.
