Tirupur: The Mayor of Tirupur Corporation inspected the work of overnight garbage disposal in various parts of the city on the occasion of Ayudha Pooja and Vijayadashami within the corporation limits.
In Tamil Nadu, ayudha pooja and Vijayadashami festivals were celebrated yesterday and today. In Tirupur district, which is flooded with industries, the Ayudha Pooja festival is celebrated with great pomp and fervour.
For this purpose, knitwear companies clean and tie banana saplings to the entrances of the establishments and machines and perform pujas.
For the past two days, roadside stalls have been set up in various parts of Tirupur city and banana saplings, flowers and fruits are being sold.
After the sale was completed, unsold banana trees, flowers and torans were left scattered by traders, leaving them in a rotting condition in various parts of the city.
In this situation, the corporation quickly jumped into action as they worked overnight to clear the garbage created by the festivities with the help of sanitation workers.
Municipal Corporation Mayor Dinesh Kumar, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Kranthi Kumar Pati and others inspected the works and instructed the sanitation workers to carry out the work of removing the garbage in such a way that there is no inconvenience to the public.
The public is appreciating the Tirupur Corporation for taking immediate steps to remove the garbage so that the garbage does not accumulate.
