It is alleged that some people in connivance with local politicians had grabbed the retired private company offical's four acres of land worth Rs.6 crore in Nallatipalayam area and hence he had lodged a complaint with the West Zone IG's office seeking to recover it.
Coimbatore: A retired private company official has lodged a complaint with the West Zone IG's office alleging that four acres of land worth Rs.6 crore had been grabbed by some people in Nallattipalayam area.
Ragothaman hails from Ramnagar in Coimbatore and retired from a private company. He owns four acres of land worth Rs.6 crore in Nallatipalayam area. The land was allegedly grabbed by some people in connivance with local politicians, two years ago. Ragothaman had lodged a complaint with the Coimbatore West Zone Police Chief's office.
Speaking to reporters, Ragothaman said, "Two years ago, I took a loan of Rs.28 lakh to divide and sell the land. Within a few days of buying the original deeds as collateral, I realised I had been cheated when I found out that the deed was registered in someone else's name. Despite repeated complaints to the police, the Chief Minister's special cell and local politicians, I have been harassed for the last two years."
Ragothaman arrived at the IG's office to submit a petition to recover his land and was accompanied by Akhila Bharatha Makkal Katchi Founder President, S Ramanathan, District President Ilanthendel Siva, Vice-President Sekar, Priests Association President Bhupathi Raj, Vadavalli Zonal office-bearers Vinod, Naveen and Sriram and South Indian Forward Block State office-bearers Mari Maravan, Iyer thevar, Vicky Rajendran and several others.
