A grocer died after he slipped and fell from a height of 50 while he was standing on the third floor of the house repairing a blockage in the water pipe on the roof of the house.
Coimbatore: Muthuraj (71), a resident of Venugopal Layout in Pappanaickenpalayam in Coimbatore, was running a grocery shop. He was standing on the 3rd floor of his house and repairing it as there was a blockage in the water pipe on the terrace of his house.
Suddenly, he slipped and fell from a height of 50 feet. He suffered serious head injuries. He was rushed to Coimbatore government hospital for treatment. But he died on the way.

Based on a complaint lodged by his son Jayakumar at the Race Course police station, the police have registered a case and are investigating.
Since Muthuraj was running a grocery shop, a large number of vendors have been paying floral tributes to his body.
