During a vehicle check near K G Chavadi in Coimbatore, it was found that two youths from Kerala, who came on a two-wheeler, were smuggling novelty drugs. The two were arrested and sent to jail after seizing the drugs.
Coimbatore: Based on a tip-off received by the police that drugs were being sold in the area under kg chavadi police station limits in Coimbatore district, the police were engaged in intensive checking of the vehicle.
On checking two men on a two-wheeler, it was found that they were carrying a high-grade drug called "Methamphedamine" for sale.
The police seized the smuggled drugs and took the two youths to the police station for questioning. They have been identified as Abdul Rasheed (21) and Jesir (21), both residents of Alikkal House in Palakkad, Kerala.

The police arrested the two men and seized 151 grams (commercial grade weight) Methamphedamine drugs worth around Rs.6,00,000/- that they were carrying for sale from them.

The two wheeler was also seized.
Later, the two were produced before a magistrate and sent to jail. District Superintendent of Police Badri Narayanan lauded the police for seizing novelty drugs during a vehicle check.
