Monthly review meeting of Illam Thedi Kalvi in Anaimalai Union: Decision to start reading movement during quarterly exam holidays

In the reading marathon competition, the students of the illam thedi kalvi who have read more than two lakh words, were given prizes and certificates of appreciation.


Coimbatore: The monthly review meeting of the Block Committee of the Illam Thedi kalvi Project was held at the Anaimalai Panchayat Union Office here yesterday under the chairmanship of Block Development Officer Balasubramaniyam.

In the review meeting, the students of the illam thedi kalvi who read more than two lakh words in the reading marathon competition, have been given prizes and certificates of appreciation.

To the volunteers involved in the Coimbatore Government Exhibition and at the Coimbatore Book Fair, certificates of appreciation were also presented to the volunteers who participated in the work of Illam thedi kalvi.



In the meeting, it was decided to conduct a reading drive for children during quarterly exam holidays using the Books supplied by the Government to educational centres in illam thedi kalvi several resolutions, including training in reading on a daily basis.

The volunteer must attend the school management committee meeting held on the last Friday of every month to discuss and consult and implement the learning development of the students with the Education Committee.

In continuation of the numbering and writing programme implemented in the schools, the practice of teaching numbering and writing in the educational centres in illam thedi kalvi to be followed in the primary class centres.
