Coimbatore: The Government has announced the quarterly term holidays for Government school students from October 1 till 12.
With quarterly exams in Government schools just concluding, the Director of Elementary Education issued a statement which declared that students' quarterly term holidays will begin from Oct 1 till Oct 12.

Since these coaching classes are being exclsuively conducted for the Government school teachers and attendance is compulsory, a holiday has been declared for the Government schools till October 12.
Private schools prefer to reopen on October 6 since there are no coaching classes for private school teachers. The private schools are awaiting a directive from the School Education Department.
