Chennai: School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi who had been hospitalized due to fever on Tuesday has been confirmed to be infected with H1N1 influenza.
On being admitted to the Kaveri Hospital in Alwarpet, Chennai on September 27 due to symptoms of fever, doctors who were treating him did a blood test and it has been confirmed that he has been infected with the H1N1 influenza virus. Due to this, he is being treated in the hospital.
People's Welfare Minister M Subramanian told the media, "Due to climate change, Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi had fever and is now being treated at the hospital having been confirmed to have H1N1 influenza. Currently, he is undergoing treatment in isolation and his condition is stable. He will return home soon."
