Coimbatore City Police arrested a vegetable vendor and another man from CMC Colony for allegedly hoarding and selling ganja in the Pullukaadu Slum Clearance Board apartment. 1 kg of ganja, Rs.3,100 in cash and a bike were seized from them. Both men were produced in Court and sent to jail.
Coimbatore: The Coimbatore City Police arrested two persons for allegedly hoarding and selling ganja in an apartment in the Pullukaadu Slum Clearance Board area near Ukkadam.
Based on a tip-off that ganja was being sold in Pullukaadu area near Ukkadam, the police conducted a thorough search of the area. The raid was conducted by the police under the leadership of Sub-Inspector Gomathi of Big Bazaar Street police station. Naubal Rahman (20), a vegetable vendor and Surya (18), a resident of CMC Colony, were arrested for storing and selling ganja at the Pullukadu Slum Clearance Board apartment.
The police seized 1 kg of ganja, Rs.3,100 in cash and a bike from them. Both men were produced in Court and sent to jail.
