In this protest they demanded, the state government should recommend to the Central government and remove the name Narikoravar. They also urged the central and state governments to consider including Tamil Koravars in the list of Scheduled Tribes and STs.
The Kurinjiyar Makkal Koottamaippu continued their protest and handed over their documents including Aadhaar card, voter ID card and
ration card.
Due to this, there was a commotion at the Tirupur district collectorate for some time.
