Isaiyanjali by the leading singers of Kovai in the presence of Commissioner M. Prathap IAS, Income tax Officer Kumar, Coimbatore Medical College Dean Nirmala and Shanthi Prasanth, Perur Chettipalayam panchayat president.
Coimbatore: The event was held in SPB Vanam, the place dedicated to the legendary singer in Pachapalayam where 74 saplings with 14 varieties of trees whose wood is used for making musical instruments like Tambura, Violin, Veena, Fluteand another 7 varieties of saplings associated with his birth star and a few Sthala Vrikshams like Shenbagam, Punnai, Ayilyam etc have been planted. Currently it houses 2000 saplings.
