Coimbatore: Thanthai Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam (TPDK) members have filed a complaint against the Coimbatore District BJP President, Balaji Uthamaramasamy at Peelamedu police station for his derogatory and threatening remarks against Coimbatore MP A Raja and Thanthai Periyar.

In a protest held by the Hindu organisations in Coimbatore against MP A Raja, BJP District President Balaji Uthamaramasamy reportedly dared MP A Raja to come to Coimbatore district if he had the courage to come without police custody. Moreover, the Coimbatore BJP District President had also spoken against Thanthai Periyar and incited violence between the two parties. The video of this speech has gone viral on social media.
Hence, the TPDK lodged a complaint at the Peelamedu police station seeking registration of a case against the Coimbatore BJP District President for his derogatory remarks against MP Raja and Thanthai Periyar, as well as inciting violence between the two parties.

The TPDK also alleged that the police did not receive their complaint even after waiting for a long time.
