Three officials from the Municipal Corporation and Health Department are inspecting the school to ascertain the reason for the girls being ill, suddenly. A medical team has also been called into the school to conduct tests on the students of Class 8.
Coimbatore: More than 10 girls studying at the Corporation Girls' Higher Secondary School in Ramanathapuram in Coimbatore reportedly took ill suddenly and fainted on Tuesday afternoon at the school.

The girls who had suddenly begun vomiting and then fainted, were immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment and their parents were also informed.

Officials reported that nine of the girls who took ill were sent home along with their parents after treatment.
