Breakfast was served to 7,255 students studying in 62 primary schools in Coimbatore Corporation.
The Tamil Nadu Government has implemented a breakfast program to alleviate the hunger of children attending Government schools across Tamil Nadu. The program was launched by the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, M K Stalin in Madurai on Thursday.

The breakfast program is being implemented in various districts of Tamil Nadu from Friday, September 16. The Electricity Minister, Senthil Balaji inaugurated the 'CM's breakfast Scheme' at the Ramanathapuram Municipal Corporation Primary School in Coimbatore. The Electricity Minister and Coimbatore District Collector, G S Sameeran and Corporation Commissioner M Prathap who jointly inaugurated the Breakfast Scheme at the Coimbatore Ramanathapuram Municipal Corporation Primary School sat with the students to eat breakfast.

Breakfast was served to 7,255 students studying in 62 primary schools in Coimbatore Corporation. Similarly, the Breakfast Scheme has been implemented for 1,119 students in nine schools in Mettupalayam Municipality and 730 students in three schools in Madhukarai Municipality, from September 16.
