The DVAC has been conducting searches at the residences and offices of former Minister S P Velumani and others close to him since Tuesday morning, including the home of Chandrasekhar, Secretary of MGR's Youth Wing in Coimbatore South district.
Coimbatore: The DVAC has been conducting searches at the residences and offices of former Minister S P Velumani and C Vijaya Baskar and close aides since 6 am on Tuesday morning, at more than 30 locations in Chennai and Coimbatore.
As part of this, a six-member team of Anti-corruption Bureau officials also conducted searches at the residence of Chandrasekhar who is considered to be S P Velumani's close aide. Chandrasekar is the Coimbatore South district MGR Youth Wing Secretary and lives in Vadavalli. The raid was completed after about nine hours.
Following this, the DVAC took away some documents, including laptops.
After the raid was over, Chandrasekhar left in a car. Meanwhile, the DVAC is also conducting searches at the office of a CR construction company owned by Chandrasekar near his residence.
