Coimbatore: Locals thronged the 'All-in-all-Angadi' two-day fair organised by the Smart City Limited with the Coimbatore Corporation administration near the city's Ukkadam Periyakulam under the Smart City Project, celebrating the weekend in a festive mood.
The two-day fair was inaugurated last Saturday by the District Collector G S Sameeran in the presence of the Coimbatore City Corporation Commissioner, M Prathap.
The fair showcased a wide range of products such as women's decorations, household items, toys for children, electric appliances, cooking materials, food items, snacks, etc. Entertainment comprising various games for children and boating was also organized.
On Sunday, the general public along with their families visited the fair and people were seen shoppping with enthusiasm as well as enjoying the boat rides over the weekend. Visitors to the selfie spot called 'I Love Kovai' took pictures with their families and were seen revelling in all the recreational activities organized at the fair.
The public expressed their hope that such events would be held more frequently to enable families to enjoy weekends within the city.
