In this situation, the crowds in important places in Coimbatore district such as Ukkadam, Town Hall, Gandhipuram and RS Puram have already started thronging in large numbers from now on. Thieves may use this season to make merry and hence we are taking various preventive measures to curb such thefts.
At present, CCTV camera footage in nabbing thieves and criminals is of high importance. Hence, we welcome the move of traders coming together to install CCTV camera surveillance.
Similarly, traders in all parts of Coimbatore district have volunteered to install CCTV cameras in their areas and assist in the surveillance work.
