The finals of the tournament will be held in Madurai on September 27, 28, 29 and 30 with Union Ministers and State Presidents gracing the event.
Coimbatore: The Modi Kabaddi League will kick-start across Tamil Nadu on September 17 on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday.
Briefing the media at the BJP office on VKK Menon Road in Coimbatore, Rajesh Kumar, State Vice-President of the Sports and Youth Development Cell said, "On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday, the Modi Kabaddi League will be held across Tamil Nadu in association with the Kabaddi Association on September 17 and 18.
The Kabaddi league matches will be held at more than 60 venues across Tamil Nadu, including Vadavalli in Coimbatore district in which the the top-ranked team will be awarded with Rs.1 lakh, the second-ranked team will be awarded Rs.50,000 and the third and fourth place winners will be awarded Rs.25,000 each.
The finals of the tournament will be held in Madurai on September 27, 28, 29 and 30. Union Ministers and State Presidents will grace the event. The winner of the tournament will walk away with Rs.15 lakh.
The District President of Youth and Sports Development Wing, Naveen Kumar, District Vice-President Pranesh, District Secretaries Rambo Gokul, Kishore, Kumar and Venkat Subbu, Media Wing District President Soumya Rani and others were present during the media briefing.
