Tirupur: The Communist Party of India (CPI) activists staged a protest in Tirupur demanding action against those who attacked a member of the Communist Party of India National Executive Committee.
In Chennai, M Veerapandian, a senior leader and member of the National Executive Committee of the Communist Party of India was attacked by a gang of three men on September 4. Condemning this act, he urged the Tamil Nadu Government to take immediate action against those involved in the attack.
A protest was also held in front of the Tirupur Corporation Office by the Communist Party of India in Tirupur City District.
Those who participated in the protest raised slogans urging the Tamil Nadu Government to take action.
