Coimbatore Builders and Contractors Association organizes Special Session for stakeholders of Construction Industry at PSG iTech campus in Coimbatore

Around 1010 delegates participated in the interactive session comprising members of all Construction Industry Associations in and around Coimbatore, including Erode, Tiruppur, Pollachi, Palladam and Udumalpet along with PG students and Faculty from the Engineering and Architectural colleges.



Coimbatore: Coimbatore Builders and Contractors Association (CEBACA) organized a special session for the stakeholders of the Construction Industry in and around Coimbatore to hear from the makers of Coimbatore’s iconic 'The PSG Convention Center' at the PSG iTech campus.

The Convention Center is the latest contribution to the city of Coimbatore from the PSG Trust. 'PSG' has been renowned for making phenomenal contributions in the field of education, healthcare and entrepreneurial progress for almost a century.



This unique Convention Center is built on the PSG iTech campus in Neelambur. The Concept, the enormous size of 1500 seating capacity, the aesthetic look, functionality, usage of innovative materials, methodology of construction, excellent interior and exterior, landscaping and many more aspects make the Center the perfect venue for hosting professional conferences, cultural events and other programs in Coimbatore.

S G Swaminathan, President of CEBACA said, “This Convention Center of international standards certainly adds great value to Coimbatore. It is a harmonious amalgamation of modern architecture and engineering with visionary execution, and it needs to be explored by all stakeholders of the construction sector in Coimbatore.”

Hence CEBACA organized a special session at the Convention Center where the brains behind the birth of this beautiful edifice - Dr. N Saravanakumar from PSG iTech (Project Lead), Ar. Sangeeth Sharma of SD Sharma & Associates, Chandigarh (Architectural Planning), Dr. L S Jayagopal of Mithran Structure, Coimbatore (Structural Design), Ar. Lakshmi Rajasiddharth of Vista Architects & Interior Designers, Coimbatore (Form, Interior & Landscape Design) jointly elaborated on the nitty-gritty details, bottlenecks, constraints and challenges that were faced in the proccess and how they were overcome. They also took part in a Q&A session with invited guests.

Members of all Construction Industry Associations in and around Coimbatore including Erode, Tiruppur, Pollachi, Palladam and Udumalpet participated in the interactive session along with PG students and Faculty from the Engineering & Architectural colleges.

For the event, CEBACA had formed a panel headed by the President of CEBACA, S G Swaminathan, along with Honorary Secretary S P Ramanathan, Coordinator A Sridhar and other office bearers.
