Earlier, when the couple Murugesan and Kalavathi filed a petition with the district administration seeking allotment of a house under the Slum Clearance Board, the authorities reportedly asked them to pay upto Rs.1 lakh toward the same.
Tirupur: Murugesan, a painter and Kalavathi who hail from Nallathupalayam in Tirupur live with their 20-year-old son, Sakthivel who has been mentally challenged since birth.

In spite of undergoing treatment at various places and receiving a monthly assistance of Rs.1,500 from the Government, Sakthivel is unable to continue living in the same house due to his mental illness.
When Murugesan and Kalavathi filed a petition with the district administration seeking allotment of a house under the Slum Clearance Board, the authorities reportedly asked them to pay upto Rs.1 lakh toward the same.

Therefore, Kalavathi along with her son Sakthivel submitted a petition at the Tirupur District Collectorate seeking Government allotment of accomodation. They requested the district administration to take into consideration the helpless condition of their son and their family situation and do the needful.
