Coimbatore: Students staying in Coimbatore's Bharatiyar University hostel on Marudhamalai Road, Coimbatore protested in front of the University entrance alleging that their hostel canteen was serving substandard food.
The students registered their protest with food plates in their hands alleging that the food served in the hostel canteen sometimes contained worms and was also spoilt at times. Hence, the hostelites demanded that the University administration should take immediate action to provide quality and healthy food to students staying in the hostel.
