A Miyawaki plantation drive was organised by Siruthuli in association with Bosch as part of their CSR initiative to expand the lung space in Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: Over hundred Boschlers along with their family members planted 2200 saplings at Anna University. Care was taken to ensure indigenous varieties of plants were used which have a better survival rate in Coimbatore's topographic and climatic condition.
The spirit of volunteering reigned high that 100+ Boschlers participated with their families and one of them even cycled 50kms from Palakkad to the event.
Over 88,000 saplings have been planted at Anna university since 2016 and this event on Saturday brings the number closer to 90,000!
To ensure sustainability, awareness session was conducted for the participants including Children. The Green Warriors, a group of Anna University students have assured that they will support in maintenance operations like de-weeding and watering the plants.
