Starting from Coimbatore, MNM President Kamal Hassan to commence state-wide tour from September 17

Ahead of the forthcoming general elections in 2024, Kamal Hassan is to commence his state-wide tour from Coimbatore on September 17 to address the issues of various constituencies in the state, said Senthil Arumugam, state secretary of the party.

Briefing the media, after holding a consultative meeting in the city, Senthil Arumugam said that he had been making constituency -wise tours and taking up issues visiting the respective constituencies. Kamal Hassan has forwarded a new campaign topics, namely "Constituency Development" to address the issues of various constituencies in the state.

While noting that the Right to Service Act, legislation guaranteeing time-bound delivery of public services to citizens has not been enacted in the state, he said that officials who are guilty of delaying the services have not been penalised. due to this.



The enactment of the act would pave way for timely public services he said and added that to drive home this point, a logo bearing the head portrait of Kamal Hassan embossed on a clock had been released, he noted.

While demanding to know as to why former minister SP Velumani was not arrested despite cases filed against him, Senthil Arumugam questioned the real motive of the DMK government which had not effected the arrest of SP Velumani, so far.

While noting that government welfare schemes were different from gifts given during poll times he said that we only oppose the bribes given to voters during election time.



MNM is protesting against the non-implementation of poll promises by the current dispensation, Senthil Arumugam said and added we would not hesitate to lay siege if the poll promises are not kept by the present government.

While debunking the announcement of many schemes as mere photo opportunities for the CM he cited the case ofAshwini, a Narikorava woman. for whomno welfare had reached, so far.
