Missing minor girl from Lucknow: Police suspect involvement of 14-year-old boy; Coimbatore Police investigate boy's friend in the city

The CCTV footage obtained from the school in Lucknow helped to confirmed that the girl went missing after she met a boy of the same school. As the boy had contacted a friend in Coimbatore, the police are on alert to find the duo.



Coimbatore: In a shocking development in the missing of a minor girl from Lucknow, for which three special teams have been formed by Coimbatore City cyber cell and Railway Police to trace the whereabouts of girl, it had emerged that a boy from the same school had been involved in her missing.



The CCTV footage obtained from the school in Lucknow helped to confirmed that the girl was spotted aing with a boy of the same school and the went missing. The boy has been identified as a 14-year-old boy of the same school and is also the son of a police man from Lucknow.

The preliminary inquiries conducted with a city-based friend of the 14 -year old boy also revealed that the boy had asked for Rs. 3000 to manage his expenses.

After the police found the school bag of the minor girl in a dustbin, the school authorities have revealed to the father that his daughter didn't attend school on the day, she had disappeared. Following which his father had filed a complaint at Lucknow regarding his missing daughter. He also alleged that the boy who likely would have kidnapped had established contact with one of his friend in Coimbatore.

Following which the father of the missing girl from Lucknow had tweeted that his minor daughter had been kidnapped from Lucknow, and tagged Tamil Nadu police asking for help to trace his missing daughter as the call records of the kidnapper had been traced to the Coimbatore location. The father also had allege that the boy had been using drugs.

The aggrieved father had also attached the FIR which was filed in a Lucknow police station, along with the Tweet, and tagged his tweet to Tamil Nadu police from his Twitter handle.

Tamil Nadu Police, which responded to the Tweet acted swiftly and alerted the Coimbatore Police Commissioner to take urgent action to trace the girl, following which special teams were formed under the instruction of the Police Commissioner.

In the meantime, the initial police inquiries held in the city revealed that the boy along with the missing girl had called his friend in Coimbatore asking for Rs.3000 from one of the Railway stations for his expenses.
