The protesters alleged that the magazine had published a controversial article with a photo of Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, Minister for School Education, the Chief Minister and Udhayanidhi Stalin in 'Junior Vikatan.'
Coimbatore: An article that appeared in the popular private monthly magazine 'Junior Vikatan' with photos of Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, Minister for School Education, Chief Minister M K Stalin and Udhayanidhi Stalin has instigated protest from the fan club of Udhayanidhi Stalin.
Udhayanidhi Stalin's fan club members staged a protest in front of the Coimbatore South Tahsildar's office, led by the District President, Irugur Bhupathi.
They set fire to a 'Junior Vikatan' magazine and raised slogans in protest.
The protesters alleged that the magazine had published defamatory articles against the Education Minister with captions like 'School Education Department Blunder, Teachers Under Pressure, Failure of Education Minister etc.
"If these magazines are sold in shops, we will protest across the district," warned the protesters.
