CM M. K. Stalin visit to Coimbatore: Security beefed up; 3000 police deployed

TN Chief Minister M. K. Stalin, who is on a four-day visit to the Kongu region will arrive in the city by 8 PM in the evening, and will be given a rousing reception by the party cadres on his arrival at the city airport, said Minister Senthil Balaji at a press meet here on Tuesday.

Over 3000 police personnel have been engaged in security duty due to CM's visit.

Security has been beefed up at the function venue at Eachinari. Additionally, police forces have arrived in the city for the purpose.



Minister Senthil Balaji, who is organizing the visit of the CM to the Kongu region, inspected the function venue at Eachanari on Tuesday morning.

After spending overnight in the city today, the Chief Minister will address a massive Government function at Eachanari at 10 am on Wednesday and distribute welfare measures to 1.9 lakh beneficiaries. He will also inaugurate various completed works and lay foundations stone for new works on the occasion.

At around 5 pm, the Chief Minister will address a massive public meeting at Aachipatti in Pollachi, which has been organized by the Coimbatore district unit of the party.. New members would be inducted into the DMK party during the function.

After reaching Tirupur and spending overnight there, the Chief Minister will participate and address the function organized by MSME industrial entrepreneurs at about 10 am on August 25.

Reaching Gopichettipalayam on the same day, the CM would participate in a function at Kallipatti and inaugurate a bronze bust of late Cheif Minister M. Karunanidhi and also a reading room there.

After spending overnight at Erode, the CM will participate in a government function at Perundurai, and distribute welfare measures.at about 10. am on August 26.

After reaching back to Coimbatore, he would take part in the platinum jubilee celebrations of a private college in the eveningin the city, before leaving for Chennai at about 8.30 pm by air.
