RPM GSC India has conducted a cyclothon with their Associates to commemorate the women empowerment that has happened in India during the last 75 years. This takes particular importance as the company remembered and appreciated Ms. Draupadi Murmu being selected as the President of India after hailing from tribal community.
Coimbatore: The 75th year of Indian Independence has been celebrated with joyous celebration across the country. Celebrations and rallies have been carried out by public and many organisations in Coimbatore too. From school students to top executives, the Independence Day fervour has gripped the city and country.
As a part of these celebrations, RPM GSC India has conducted a cyclothon with their associates to commemorate the women empowerment that has happened in India during the last 75 years. This takes particular importance as the company remembered and appreciated Ms. Draupadi Murmu being selected as the President of India after hailing from tribal community.
The company which is as old as Independent India, was founded in May 1947 and is celebrating it’s 75th year anniversary this year. Over 50 Associates of the company, took part in the cyclothon today. The cyclothon started from their office in CHIL SEZ in Keeranatham, travelled via Saravanampatti Thudiyalur road via KCT and returned back to CHIL SEZ covering a distance of 15km.
The $6.1 billion company has close to 200 employees working for them in their Coimbatore campus and is a world leader in specialty coatings, sealants, building materials and related services.
Speaking to SimpliCity, General Manager of Coimbatore Operations Nithy Kalaiselvan said, “RPM at 75 is a multi cultural organisation with high emphasis on people values, committed in giving back to the community we operate in with programs like physical, financial and inner well-being of women associates and ESG initiatives.
