Coimbatore: In order to achieve a drug free society ,Puthiya Tamilagam party would be organising two wheeler rally on the occasion of 75th Independence Day celebrations all over Tamil Nadu and the rally would be organised in five places in the city, for which police permission has been sought, said Krishnasamy, Founder and President of the party.
Briefing the media here on Sunday, he said that though the country's independence was achieved at high costs, and the nation had charted its progress, when compared to the Western countries, we are still lagging behind in the education sector.
While bemoaning the fact that the younger generation has become addicted to liquor and ganja, he said such a situation might not only affect physical health but also mental health. He pointed out that addiction to drugs might affect the education of the youth in this country.
While terming the fight against drugs as a second independence movement, Krishnasamy said that narcotic drugs are being imported into the country from Afghanistan.The State and Central government should seal the drug routes in land, water and skies to ensure drug free India Krishansamy said.
