"Bomb Disposal" mock drill held at Coimbatore Railway Junction.

As part of the drill, a mock scenario was created in which an abandoned suit case was identified as a potential threat, and the bomb disposal squad, who rushed to the spot with protective gear disposed the bomb, safely.


Coimbatore: A bomb disposal mock drill was conducted at the Coimbatore Railway junction by the Railway Protection Force personnel in the city.

RPF Inspector Girish, Bomb disposal squad sub-inspector Raja, an ambulance, and a fire tender were involved in the mock drill operation which was designed to ensure safety of the passengers and the railway junction during emergency situations.

As part of the drill, a mock scenario was created in which an abandoned suit case was identified as a potential threat, and the Inspector immediately alerted the bomb disposal squad, who rushed to the spot with protective gear.

The passengers at the station were cordoned off from the potential bomb carrying suit case, while the bomb experts neutralized the potential bomb during the mock drill.

The mock drill exercise was carried out for 27 minutes and every protocol was followed Tense moments prevailed for a brief time as passengers were unaware of the mock drill.
