Over 500 students took part in the awareness rally organised by the Tamil Nadu Food safety department, in view of the 75th Independence day celebrations and create food safety awareness amid the public.
Coimbatore: A Food Safety Awareness Rally was organised in the city under the aegis of the Tamil Nadu Food safety and Drug administration department, in view of the 75th Independence day celebrations.

District Collector G.S Sameeran flagged off the rally, which commenced from VOC grounds and culminated at the Hindustan Arts and Science college on Avinashi road, here.

Over 500 students wearing uniforms carried awareness creating placards on the vital aspects of food safety to enlighten the public.

City Corporation Commissioner Prathap, Deputy Mayor Vetriselvan and Food safety officer Tamil Selvan took part in the rally and they walked quite a distance with the students to instill awareness.
