CPI's alliance with DMK will further be strengthened to defeat the BJP in 2024 elections - Mutharasan in Tirupur

The parties such as United Janata Dal have parted ways from the BJP and it is only a precursor to things to follow. To defeat fascism, the alliance with the present DMK government will continue and a resolution affirming the same has been passed at the 25th State conference of the CPI held here.


Tirupur: The United Progressive Front under the leadership of DMK should further be strengthened to defeat the BJP and the divisive forces in the 2024 parliamentary elections, said CPI State Secretary R.Mutharasan.

Briefing the media persons after having been elected for the post of State Secretary for the third consecutive time, he said that the 25th state conference of the party was conducted successfully. A new state committee has been constituted with 101 members at the just concluded 25th state conference and new faces and youth have been given priority in the committee.



While alleging that the RSS political wings have been indirectly controlling the BJP government at the Centre, he said the "Agnipath" scheme is introduced only to convert the Indian army into RSS refuge.

Senior leader of CPI Mutharasan also condemned the Electricity Amendment Act 1922 and apprised that CPI has planned to agitate in front of central government offices on August 30 demanding to withdraw the bill.
