"Vertical gardens must be set up on pillars of bridges in Coimbatore to eradicate poster culture:" PMK Coimbatore District Secretary, Ashok Srinidhi

Ashok Srinidhi felt that these vertical gardens will not only add to the beauty of the city but also improve air quality.

Coimbatore: In an effort to eradicate poster culture in Coimbatore city, the Paattali Makkal Katchi's Coimbatore District Secretary, Ashok Srinidhi has suggested that vertical gardens be set up on the pillars of bridges in the city.

In a statement, PMK's Coimbatore District Secretary, Ashok Srinidhi stated, "Everywhere in Coimbatore, there are advertisements and posters of political parties which look ugly. Posters and banners should highlight and promote the welfare schemes of a party, not the party. Government officials are also silently watching this. In Coimbatore, only PMK has vowed not to put up posters. We are doing politics only on the basis of our plans. One day, if not today, it will definitely be talked about. That's our belief."

Ashok Srinidhi added, "A vertical garden should be set up on the bridges' pillars to eradicate the poster culture. This will add more beauty to our Coimbatore city and improve air quality. Plants in the vertical garden filter particles from the air and convert carbon dioxide into oxygen. This ought to be implemented by the Government immediately."
