Flash floods in Noyyal river: Perur Padithurai submerged; devotees banned from offering rituals

The Perur town panchayat officials are making announcements using loud speakers to warn the devotees against using the Perur Padithurai and also selfie lovers to desist from venturing into the area for clicking selfies.


Coimbatore: Following flash floods in Noyyal river, Perur Padithurai and the adjoining mandapam around the temple area has submerged. The Perur Panchayat officials have warned the devotees from offering rituals to the deceased.

The incessant rains in the Western Ghats has caused flooding in many rivers and canals across the city and the rain situation and flooding is getting worse by the day.



Dams and tanks have reached their full capacity and are brimming, as of Tuesday morning.
