Undertrial prisoner escapes from custody of Kerala police at Coimbatore railway junction.

The Kerala police men who were escorting an undertrial prisoner were returning to Palakkad in West Coast Express when the prisoner gave the slip to the police and disappeared at Coimbatore railway junction.


Coimbatore: An undertrial prisoner Aneesh Babu of Palakkad escaped from the custody of Kerala police at the Coimbatore Railway junction. The undertrial gave the slip to his police escorts and disappeared into the crowd when the train reached Coimbatore junction.

The Kerala police men who were escorting the said undertrial prisoner were returning to Palakkad in West Coast Express when the prisoner gave the slip to the police and disappeared. Aneesh Babu was brought to a Tirupattur court for hearing by the Kerala police andhis daring escape occurred when the train reached Coimbatore junction.

Aneesh Babu was involved in various theft and chain snatching cases in Tamil Nadu and Kerala and court cases were pending against him in many courts. The daring escape of an undertrial prisoner created a flutter in the Coimbatore railway junction for a brief time.
