'Ensure that the BJP doesn’t politically grow in Tamil Nadu' - Vaiko at 25th State Conference of CPI

BJP is running its government not for the benefit of the people, but for the benefit of Ambani and Adani. We should take a resolution in Tirupur to defeat the forces which promotes "Sanadhana dharma” Vaiko said.

Tirupur: The MDMK would continue to support the DMK- led alliance in Tamil Nadu, and every effort should be made to ensure that the BJP doesn’t politically grow in the state, said MDMK General Secretary, during inauguration of his party office in Tirupur.

Speaking on the occasion of the CPI 25th State Conference, Vaiko lauded the sacrifices of communist party leaders and cadres for the growth of the party. “The party has grown boundlessly in Tirupur and communist leaders have fearlessly faced every hurdle, which came their way. They were not afraid of either the gallows or that bullet. They faced everything to nurture the ideals and for the growth of the party."

Vaiko praised Communist leader Nallakannu for his yeoman services to the party. "Nallakannu is a fearless leader who strived hard for the growth of the communist party over the decades.”

While condemning the BJP led government at the Centre for its divisive policies, Vaiko said that the BJP government is imposing a “one language one nation" formula which is inimical to the interest of the nation. This might lead to secession of various states like what happened in the former USSR.

He also alleged that the BJP is running its government not for the benefit of the people, but for the benefit of Ambani and Adani. We should take a resolution in Tirupur to defeat the forces which promote “ Sanadhana dharma” Vaiko said.

The BJP, which is rearing its head in Tamil Nadu is always speaking about temples. We are not against temples, but we also have great regard for “Rationalism” which means good reasoning. We should strive hard to spread the message of the reasoning, he exhorted.
