CSCCON 2022: Third edition of the cardiology conference draws hundreds of participants

Over 400 participants from in and around the Kongu Region participated and benefitted from the conference. The event was organized by Coimbatore Cardiology Society of Coimbatore.


The Third edition of CSCCON 2022 was inaugurated by Dr D M T Saravanan, President Cardiology Society of Coimbatore on August 7, 2022 at The Residency Towers, Coimbatore.

Over 400 participants from in and around the Kongu Region participated and benefitted from the conference. The event was organized by Coimbatore Cardiology Society of Coimbatore. The society works towards prevention of Cardiovascular Diseases (CVD) and the eradication of cardio-vascular mortality.

Dr D M T Saravanan, President Cardiology Society of Coimbatore said, “The society is goal is to raise awareness among the people about cardiovascular diseases and nutrition diets and Work towards increasing awareness about the co-relation between cardiovascular diseases and the environment & lifestyle. The event will be beneficial for both General practitioners and Cardiologists.

Dr Sarvewaran, Secretary, Cardiology Society of Coimbatoresaid "It is very important to learn from each other and update our skills to provide better care for patients and that way difficult cases can be treated successfully. Conference like these are need of the hour as it helps on understanding how to manage difficult cases and how to treat our patients successfully."



The main focus of the conference is to discuss on the updates in the field of Cardiology especially preventive Cardiology,Heart Attack, High Blood Pressure, Heart Rhythm related diseased,Heart Valve related diseases and Heart Failure. It also highlightedon the early diagnosis of various cardiac illness and appropriatemanagement.

Structured evaluation to assess the risk of future Cardiac attacks and appropriate guidance of therapy, modalities to identify cardiac illness at the earliest, advanced transcathter, minimal invasive surgical modalities and ​advanced care for the heart failure patients that are available in the city was the main focus of this conference.
