Coimbatore SP felicitates woman cop for helping perform last rites for over 100 unclaimed bodies

Coimbatore: Coimbatore Superintendent of Police (Rural) V. Badri Narayanan felicitated a woman constable Amina attached to the Mettupalayam (MTP) police station for excelling in doing exceptional humanitarian services.

Amina, a good samaritan cop and a child welfare officer at the MTP police station has exemplified in performing beyond the call of her duty and helped perform the last rites of for unidentified and unclaimed dead bodies. Under her supervision and arrangements of the last rite rituals, atleast a 100 people have received a decent send off.

The SP who took note of the woman cop's exceptional service to humanity decided to felicitate her, and a brief function was organized to honour the good samaritan cop at the SP office in Coimbatore. SP Badri Narayanan presented her a shawl and a commendation certificate appreciating her humanitarian work.
