Due to incessant rains, a compound wall of a house in Anna Nagar in Valparai collapsed due to the erosion of the main canal. Councillor Kamatchi Ganesan visited the area and assured to rebuild the wall at the earliest.
Coimbatore: Incessant rains across Valparai and surrounding estate areas since Wednesday afternoon caused trees to uproot, and caused a compound wall to collapse, thus disrupting normal life.

Valparai's Anna Nagar area houses over 2000 families. The compound wall near the house of a local, Raja, collapsed due to the erosion of the main canal. There were no casualties but since the wall collapsed and fell into the canal, water stagnated in the canal emitting a foul smell. Locals in the neighbourhood complained to authorities.

Kamatchi Ganesan, Councillor of Ward No.10 in Valparai visited the affected area and assured the residents that the wall would soon be rebuilt.
