Investigations revealed that the minor girl's own uncle had sexually assaulted her and threatened her several times.
Coimbatore: The uncle of a 14-year-old girl studying in Class 9 in Coimbatore has been arrested under the POCSO Act for impregnating the minor girl.
The girl reportedly fainted in school and when rushed to the hospital for a scan, it was found that the minor girl was 5.5 months pregnant. Following this, the girl's mother lodged a complaint with the Thondamuthur police. Police investigation revealed that the girl's own uncle had sexually assaulted and threatened her several times.
The police immediately registered a case and arrested the girl's uncle under the POCSO Act.
