A special force police arrested a youth from Dindigul who was standing with about 28 kg of ganja packets at the Gandhipuram bus stand in Coimbatore and arrested two people from Dindigul who had given the ganja for sale.
Coimbatore: A youth from Dindigul was arrested by the special forces police who was standing at the Gandhipuram bus stand in Coimbatore with around 28 kg of ganja packets.
Various measures are being taken to prevent the sale of tobacco products like Ganja and Gutka across Tamil Nadu. A special force has been set up to monitor the sale of ganja, especially in Coimbatore.
In this case, based on the confidential information received by the special police, the police were waiting at the Coimbatore Gandhipuram suburban bus station in plain clothes. When the police interrogated a young man who came from Dindigul district in a bus, he gave contradictory answers.
Suspicious of this, when the police searched him, it was found that there were 28 kg of ganja packets and Rs 3 lakh in cash in his bag.
Subsequently, the police seized the ganja and money and arrested Praveen from Dindigul district who brought them. In the ongoing investigation of Praveen by the special forces police, Dharmaraj and Satish Kumar from Dindigul district, who had given and sent the ganja for sale, were arrested and brought to Coimbatore. Subsequently, all three were produced in court and imprisoned.
