Karthikeyan (53) hails from Kotambatti area of Pollachi. He was the Deputy Secretary of DMK Pollachi City. On the evening of 18th, while traveling from Pollachi to Meenkarai road near Srinivasapuram due to work, the accident occurred when the vehicle unexpectedly tripped and fell down.
In this, Karthikeyan, who was seriously injured, was rescued by the bystanders and admitted to a private hospital in Coimbatore by ambulance. He was undergoing treatment for four days and died early this morning.
