Coimbatore BJP protest against electricity tariff increase by TN Govt

In this protest led by BJP National Women's Team President Vanathi Srinivasan, protest slogans were raised condemning the hike in electricity tariff in Tamil Nadu. DMK govt has said that it had to increase the price due to the financial pressure from Central govt.


Coimbatore: A demonstration was held by the Coimbatore BJP at the South District Collector's office to protest against the increase in electricity tariff.



Electricity tariff has been increased in Tamil Nadu. Protesting against this, a demonstration was held at the South District Collector's office on behalf of Coimbatore BJP.

In this demonstration led by BJP National Women's Team President Vanathi Srinivasan, they raised slogans condemning the increase in electricity tariff in Tamil Nadu, condemning Electricity Minister Senthil Balaji and condemning the DMK government.



Also, Vanathi Srinivasan condemned it. More than 200 BJP members from Coimbatore including BJP Coimbatore District President Balaji Uthman and BJP Youth Secretary Preeti Lakshmi participated in this. As a result, vehicles plying on Red Cross Road were diverted.

Tamilnadu Govt and DMK have maintained that they have been forced to raise the prices because of the financial pressure induced by the BJP Govt at the center.
